We are in the era of technology, infact i am using technology to reach out you. World is going through a big crises, that is COVID 19. Many of countries are locked down. we are maintaining hygiene or social distancing. peoples are talking about food, work travel etc etc. But no one thinking about the breakdown which all of us going through willingly or unknowingly. I am not going to tell about COVID19, we all know pretty much about it, not even i am going to tell about its treatment. I am trying to explain different aspect of it. The cris.
Crisis, actually born in terms of COVID 19. We all are safe inside home, and these holidays are unexpected, and kind of self limiting ourselves. We can do every possible thing at home still as a human nature we are not happy. you may spent many Sundays at home not even walked out for moment but still cant manage to be at home why? Physically, we can do exercises or move inside home. Financially, we are not thinking of much but for all those who earns in day and spent in night is a crisis. most important factor of our life is to stay mentally fit, and that a biggest cris in the context.
Mental health? why i am talking about it. Till now my blogs are based on any destination or travel, but suddenly why i am exploring mental health? in a lock down situation, i felt many things we are missing, like our routines, meeting peoples at office etc. What it impacts on our life? even a house wife sees only few people around her then why we are feeling this?
Answer is, our routine is to work, challenges we faced daily and let our mind works in solving those problems. In lockdown, our support system is available( family) and our second support system (friends) are also available readily, and challenges are very few just to get vegetables, groceries etc. Actually if we have problems, we try to solve ourselves, ofcourse we consult to friends and family but that discussion is of short duration and based on availability of faithful person.
Let us understand with an example, many of us are not getting money because we are not working, then managing finances when banks are closed is a challenge. usually, if we run out of money, we do extra efforts to earn more, but in this situation, we fulfill our needs with readily available family and friends. This actually chewing up our ability to think differently.
For house wife, they always try to assume what to cook, deal with emotions of her husband after fed up from office, coping with family. Again, in this situation, her challenges reamin constant and ends up at watching television or playing games.
If we have holidays, we go out for relaxation, but these holidays are not giving that scope too. At home we are relaxing, but brain that is not exhaust is relaxing? doesn't sounds good. We need to exhaust or utilize our brain, otherwise after few days as a human nature we are use too with it and loose our abilities to think. Here, i would like to mention, media is also responsible for it. if we continuously watching news regarding COVID we will surely die.
What are possible ways to maintain brain activity? I am not telling to think of business, to work hard physically, or yoga. Answer is "creativity". It is something which you think not for leisure but for passion. reading, writing, drawing, sketching are alwys creative but if you cook, if you design something is also an creative ideas. whatever your interest is, my interest is writing, I am writing. you can choose your ways.
just remember, arguments, conflicts or any other discussion even gossiping is harmful and leads to impact on productivity. these are first signs of degrading mental health. Remember, brain has spiral connections and need to boost those spirals. and that can be achieved by reinforcing work to brain.
we do not go for work physically, but boost our mental system too. stay fit mentally.
